Welcome to this month’s installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month our wedding series features a beautiful couple, Molly and Sean, who said their vows on a crisp Autumn day in 2021.
Molly and Sean chose to say their “I Dos” under the gazebo with family and friends as their guests. They also held their wedding reception on site in the spacious Harborview Ballroom at Danversport. They gathered with us on a beautiful day in October to celebrate the love and commitment that they have pledged to each other.
This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn everything about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.

Wedding Venue: The Harborview Ballroom and Gazebo
Where are you originally from? We are both originally from beautiful Gloucester, Massachusetts.
What do you do for work? I work in the finance industry.
How did you meet your bride or groom?
We grew up in the same town and went to the same college. We were friends for a while and started dating after we both graduated college.
What made you choose Danversport, and this venue/room specifically?
We wanted a romantic, elegant, but fun vibe. Danversport had all of that and more. And we loved that there’s a view of the ocean at Danversport!
How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?
We had approximately 250 friends and family as our guests.
What did you offer for food/drink catering?
We offered several options to our guests starting with the Deluxe hors d’oeuvres. For dinner we offered the Caprese Salad, with a choice of the Lobster Bisque, Chicken Piccata, and Seafood Trio.
For dessert we enjoyed Cappuccino & Espresso with our wedding cake. Additionally we offered a one hour open bar and late night snacks including: Chicken Fingers, Cheeseburger Sliders, and Philly Cheesesteaks.
Did you have a wedding theme? We did not have a wedding theme but we wanted fun, romantic and elegant and we got all three!
What type of style was your dress? My gown was an A line ball gown.
What was the song you danced to for your first dance? We had our first dance to the song Into the Mystic – Van Morrison.
Who walked you down the aisle? My Father walked me down the aisle along the beautiful waterfront by the gazebo.
What are/were your plans for your honeymoon? We spent two weeks in Hawaii!

Molly and Sean had a beautiful ceremony and reception for their large, loving family. We are so happy that we could be a part of it and celebrate this day with them. Along with 250 of their guests we were able to share in their special day this past fall. Congratulations and best wishes for the future.
