Welcome to this month’s installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month our wedding series features a beautiful couple, Mary Ann and Kevin, who said their vows on a perfect spring day in 2021.
This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn everything about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.

Where are you originally from?
Kevin and Mary Ann originally met in Boston but now they reside in Walpole, Massachusetts.
What do you do for work?
Mary Ann is in the Human Resources field while Kevin works in Finance.
How did you meet your bride or groom?
Our January couple met in Boston, Massachusetts, right near the famed landmark and home of the Boston Red Sox…Fenway Park. With Kevin working at the park in his earlier years, Mary Ann had the chance to meet him at a restaurant right nearby named the Cask n’ Flagon.
What made you choose Danversport, and this venue/room specifically?
Kevin and Mary Ann chose Danversport for many reasons, including the amazing staff and support that was provided. The level of customer service became clear to them after their first tour of the space. It put them at peace knowing they were in good hands throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself.
How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?
While the couple initially planned for a wedding of 200 people, they pared the guest list down to 100 in light of the coronavirus pandemic .

What did you offer for food/drink catering?
Kevin and Mary Ann chose the Seafood Trio and Steak dinners. The couple and their guests loved it!
What was the most magical, moving or special part of the wedding for you?
With so many special and poignant parts to their wedding, this couple had a difficult time choosing just one. One of the most magical part was their first dance to the song “Simply The Best.”
What was the theme of your wedding?
The bride describes the theme as loose rustic elegance.
Who walked you down the aisle? The bride’s father walked her down the aisle.
What are/were your plans for your honeymoon?
After an amazing wedding day our couple flew off to the happy Caribbean island of Aruba for a week to spend time relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.

We were so happy they chose us to be a part of their wedding story. Mary Ann and Kevin had a beautiful day, with some amazingly special moments that will last a lifetime. We wish them all the best!
