The “I Do” Interview: Meet Madison & Anthony

Welcome to this month’s installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month, our wedding series features a wonderful couple, Madison and Anthony, who said their vows on a perfect summer day in June 2025. They chose to celebrate their ceremony and reception with us in the Terrace Ballroom, surrounded by 150 family members and friends, who all shared in their joy.

This interview series is designed to allow future couples to hear about the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been through them. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories, allowing others to learn about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.

Responses have been edited for length and clarity.

Madison & Anthony

Wedding Date – June 2025

Event Space –  We used the Terrace Ballroom for both the ceremony and reception.

Where are you originally from?

We are originally from Pelham, NH and North Attleboro, MA. We met at Endicott College in Beverly, MA.

What do you do for work?

I am a Corporate Event Manager, and Anthony is a Project Manager for an Interior Design expediting company.

How did you meet your bride or groom?

We met when we both attended a leadership retreat at Endicott College called LIGHTHouse. It stands for “Learning to Inspire, Guide, Help, and Teach.”

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue/room specifically?

Since Endicott College held their annual senior banquet at Danversport, the venue was already on our radar as an ideal location to host an event. Since I am in the event industry, I also knew that the waterfront location and all-inclusive aspect of Danversport were perfect for us. We chose the Pergola and Terrace Ballroom, specifically for its size and access to the lighthouse and beautiful gardens.

How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?

We had 150 friends and family at our wedding.

What did you offer in terms of food/drink catering?

To start our reception, we offered the Signature Hors d’oeuvres. For our main meal, we chose options including the summer salad, Prime Rib, or Seabass, and Lemon Cake with chocolate bonbons. Everyone loved the food!

What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?

The most magical part of the wedding was our ceremony. Anthony’s godmother prepared a unique ceremony to honor us as a couple, incorporating all our friends and family into the process.

The band was also a magical component to the night. Since we wanted to dance the night away, the band, Red Soda, brought the house down with three amazing dance sets. Thank you to Danversport for being willing to adjust to a pre-plated salad and an early cake cutting to get our guests on the dance floor as soon as possible!

What was the song you danced to for your first dance?

We chose the song, “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne for our first dance as a married couple.

What style was your dress?

My dress was an A-line style with a corset and cowl-neck detail from Madeline’s Daughter Bridal, featuring custom straps made by Eleni in Lowell, MA.

Who walked you down the aisle?

My father walked me down the aisle.

What are/were your plans for your honeymoon?

Immediately after our wedding, we headed to Woodstock, Vermont, for a mini-moon. Our larger honeymoon is planned for a later date, where we will go on a 10-day safari and beach trip to Tanzania.

Happily Ever After

Congratulations to Madison and Anthony as you begin your married life together! We are thrilled to have been a part of your special day and traditions. We wish you much happiness in the years ahead.
