Welcome to this month’s installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month, our wedding series features a wonderful couple, Kaitlin and Connor, who said their vows on a perfect summer day in August 2025. They chose to celebrate their ceremony at the Pergola and reception with us in the Waterfront Ballroom, surrounded by 105 family members and friends, who all shared in their joy.
This interview series is designed to give future couples a chance to hear about the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently celebrated theirs. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories, allowing others to learn about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.

Kaitlyn & Connor
Wedding Date – August 2025
Event Space – Our ceremony was performed at the Pergola at Danversport, and our reception was held in the Waterfront Ballroom overlooking the waterfront and gardens.
Where are you originally from?
I am from Atkinson, NH, and Connor is from Somers, CT.
What do you do for work?
I work as a Pediatric Dental Assistant, and Connor works as a Physical Therapist.
How did you meet your bride or groom?
We met through some mutual friends on a night out in Boston.
What made you choose Danversport, and this venue/room specifically?
We were drawn to the stunning waterfront venue and wanted something with a coastal vibe for our summer wedding. Danversport checked all our boxes between their flexible menu options and reception space; it was just what we were looking for. I still remember leaving our venue tour knowing that was the spot we’d get married!
How many guests did you have in attendance, roughly?
We had 105 friends and family at our wedding.
Did your wedding have a specific theme?
Our wedding theme was “Coastal elegant.”
What did you offer in terms of food/drink catering?
We offered a mix of the Signature and Deluxe passed Hors D’oeuvres with the Sparkling Station for our guests! For dinner, we provided a choice of Herb-Roasted Chicken or Filet Mignon. For dessert, we did the marble cake with ice cream bonbons… and of course, an open bar all night!
What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?
There were many magical moments! From doing our first look, reading our vows by the waterfront, and in the words of the groom, watching me walk down the aisle. Also, being able to celebrate with all the people we love was magical.
What was the song you danced to for your first dance?
For our first dance as husband and wife, we danced to Sweet Child O’ Mine by Brent Morgan.
What style was your dress?
My dress was a very simple strapless mermaid-style dress, and I added a lace sleeve.
Who walked you down the aisle?
My dad, Robert, walked me down the aisle.
What are/were your plans for your honeymoon?
We honeymooned in Greece. We did a 12-day island hop from Athens, Mykonos, Milos, and Santorini. It was just as beautiful in person as in the photos! Truly a dream honeymoon.
