Welcome to this month’s installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month, our wedding series features a lovely couple, Jordyn and Corey, who said their vows on a delightful spring day in June 2025. They chose to celebrate their ceremony on the Lawn and reception with us in the Harborview Ballroom, surrounded by 250 family members and friends, who all shared in their joy.
This interview series is designed to give future couples a chance to hear about the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently celebrated theirs. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories, allowing others to learn about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.
Responses have been edited for length and clarity.
Jordyn & Corey
Wedding Date – June 2025
Event Space – Our ceremony was performed on the Lawn at Danversport, and our reception was held in the Harborview Ballroom overlooking the waterfront.
Where are you originally from?
We are both from Wilmington, Massachusetts.
What do you do for work?
I am a sonographer/ultrasound technician, and Corey is an accountant.
How did you meet your bride or groom?
We went to high school together, but my husband graduated two years ahead of me. Corey messaged me on Instagram asking me on our first date!
What made you choose Danversport, and this venue/room specifically?
We chose Danversport because we had an extensive guest list and wanted everyone to feel comfortable in our venue, with confidence in the staff to accommodate them. We have only ever heard fantastic things about Danversport. The ballroom is beautiful and classy, and we loved that our guests had access to the deck all night!

How many guests did you have in attendance, roughly?
We had 250 friends and family at our wedding.
Did your wedding have a specific theme?
Our wedding theme was pink and white.
What did you offer in terms of food/drink catering?
At cocktail hour, we offered the signature hors d’oeuvres, lobster rolls, and lamb lollipops. In addition to the open bar, which remained open for the remainder of the reception, we offered a spritz station. For our dinner menu, guests enjoyed a strawberry salad, bolognese pasta, and either the Tuscan chicken or braised short ribs for their entree. Dessert was marble cake from J’s Cakes and Danversport’s Oreo mousse.
What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?
The most magical moment was when we sat down for dinner and took a moment to look out at all our family and friends, fully appreciating how lucky we are to be able to get married with everyone we love there!
What was the song you danced to for your first dance?
For our first dance as husband and wife, we danced to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding.

What style was your dress?
My dress was a ballgown style.
Who walked you down the aisle?
My dad, John, walked me down the aisle.
What are/were your plans for your honeymoon?
The Monday after the wedding, we left for a 10-night honeymoon to Paris, Athens & Santorini!
