Welcome to this month’s installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month our wedding series features a lovely couple, Clare and Jeffrey, who said their vows in March 2024. They chose to celebrate their ceremony outdoors at the gazebo and reception in the Harborview Ballroom with their 215 family members and friends who all shared in their joy.
This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn everything about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.

Wedding Date – March 2024
Event Space – We had our ceremony outside at the gazebo and reception in the beautiful Harborview Ballroom.
Where are you originally from?
I am from Salisbury, Massachusetts.
What do you do for work?
I’m a hairstylist that specializes in hair extensions. Jeff is a property manager for commercial buildings in Amesbury.
How did you meet your bride or groom?
Jeff came into the salon I was working at at the time. He normally saw another stylist but this time I had an opening. I ended up cutting his hair and we got to chatting and I thought he was super cute. My boss at the time then texted him later on asking if he would want to take me out sometime! We went on a date that weekend and have been together ever since!
What made you choose Danversport, and this venue/room specifically?
The location and all that was included at Danversport made this venue a no-brainer and helped us stay on budget!
How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?
We had approximately 215 of our family and friends at our wedding reception and ceremony.
What did you offer for food/drink catering?
We offered the Tuscan chicken and the braised short rib! We also had a vegan option too.
What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?
I would have to say the ceremony and our speeches were the most magical. Our very good friend officiated the ceremony and our friends that spoke did an incredible job.
What was the song you danced to for your first dance?
Our first dance song was Forever by Rome Ramirez.
What style was your dress?
My dress was technically an A-line with a fitted top and a float skirt.
Who walked you down the aisle?
My dad walked me down the aisle.
What are/were your plans for your honeymoon?
We went to Sandals Negril in Jamaica for 10 days.
