The “I Do” Interview: Meet Lisa & Ricky

Welcome to the latest installment of the “I Do” Interviews! This month our wedding series features a wonderful couple who made their dream wedding come true at Danversport.

This bridal interview series is meant to give future brides a chance to hear the wonderful details of bridal experiences from those who have recently been there. Our beautiful brides have agreed to share their stories so others can learn about everything from their one-of-a-kind wedding, to their incredible partner, at a picture-perfect venue.

Lisa and Ricky said their “I Dos” under the Danversport Pergola with the backdrop of the sparkling waterfront on a beautiful June day. After saying their “I Dos,” they moved into the Terrace Ballroom and adjacent Waterfront Ballroom to celebrate.

What Made You Choose Danversport, and this Venue/room Specifically?

Bride, Lisa, loves the ocean and the Terrace Ballroom and Waterfront Ballrooms provided not only a beautiful garden, but views of the waterfront all around.

How Many Guests Did You Have in Attendance?

Lisa and Ricky were lucky enough to hold their special day after the state covid guidelines were lifted and were able to be surrounded by 75 friends and family on their wedding day.

What Did You Offer For Food/Drink and Catering?

Since it was a scorcher of a day, the menu of an ice cream bar, a two hour open bar, scotch bar, charcuterie with cheese and crackers, and classic hors d’oeuvres really hit the spot.

What Was the Most Magical, Moving or Special Part of the Wedding For You?

The most special part of the whole day was when Lisa walked down the aisle with her dad and having her mom as her Matron of Honor.

Happily Ever After

Like all good fairy tales, Lisa and Ricky experienced their happily ever after as they celebrated with friends and family on a warm June day with the soft breezes blowing off the harbor. We are so happy for you and wish you well in the future.
