Welcome to this month\u2019s installment of the \u201cI Do\u201d Interviews! This month our wedding series features a wonderful couple, Katie and Dylan, who said their vows in June 2024. They celebrated their ceremony outdoors at the pergola and held their reception in the Terrace Ballroom and Waterfront Ballroom with their 115 family members and friends who all shared in their joy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn everything about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wedding Date<\/b> – June 2024\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Event Space<\/b> – We held our reception at the pergola on the beautiful grounds of the Danversport and had our reception in the Terrace Ballroom and Waterfront Room.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where are you originally from?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

I am originally from Beverly, Massachusetts. <\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do for work?<\/b><\/p>\n

I am a speech therapist and Dylan is a journeyman pipe fitter.<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom?<\/b><\/p>\n

We met on the online dating app, Hinge!<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?<\/b><\/p>\n

Danversport holds a special place in our hearts. We always knew we wanted to get married with a waterfront view, plus we are avid boat lovers so the scene that Danversport offered was exactly what we were looking for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, Danversport was my first job! I worked there from 14-16 years old, so watching life come full circle was so special. The staff have always been incredible.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?<\/b><\/p>\n

We had approximately 115 family and friends at our waterfront wedding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink catering?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our guests chose prime rib, chicken piccata, or vegetarian for the main meal. We also had an open bar with a sangria station, which everyone loved!<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?<\/b><\/p>\n

The most magical part for me was walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing my husband for the first time. It was almost as if time stood still at that moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our first dance song was <\/span>Then<\/span><\/i> by Brad Paisley.<\/span><\/p>\n

What style was your dress?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

My dress was a sheath-style dress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle?<\/b><\/p>\n

My Dad walked me down the aisle.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?<\/b><\/p>\n

We went to Aruba for 8 days and absolutely loved it!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Happily Ever After\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Dylan and Katie as they begin their life\u2019s journey together. This wedding was incredibly sentimental as Katie once worked here at Danversport. Life came full circle as Dylan and Katie said their \u201cI Dos\u201d under the pergola and had their first dance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We wish them much happiness as they begin their life together!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
