Welcome to this month\u2019s installment of the \u201cI Do\u201d Interviews! This month our wedding series features a wonderful couple and high school sweethearts, Alison and Rob, who said their vows in June 2024. They celebrated their ceremony outdoors at the pergola and reception in the Terrace Ballroom and adjoining Waterfront Room with their 200 family members and friends who all shared in their joy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn everything about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wedding Date<\/b> – June 2024<\/span><\/p>\n

Event Space<\/b> – We had our ceremony outside at the pergola and reception in the beautiful Terrace Ballroom and Waterfront Room.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where are you originally from? <\/b><\/p>\n

We are both from Reading, Massachusetts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do for work?<\/b><\/p>\n

I work as a nurse and Rob is a police officer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom?<\/b><\/p>\n

We grew up across the street from each other and had mutual friends in high school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?<\/b><\/p>\n

We had multiple proms together at Danversport which was very special for us as we are high school sweethearts. We loved the water as the background and I loved being able to use the outdoor area during the reception.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?<\/b><\/p>\n

We had approximately 200 of our family and friends at our wedding reception and ceremony.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink catering?<\/b><\/p>\n

We did an open bar of beer and wine. We chose the herb chicken and prime rib options for dinners.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?<\/b><\/p>\n

We loved the ceremony outside. We had the most beautiful day with blue skies and big white fluffy clouds. Rob’s great-uncle was our officiant which also made it very special.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our first dance song was <\/span>Crazy Girl<\/span><\/i> by Eli Young Band\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What style was your dress?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

My gown was an A-line spaghetti-strap dress.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle?<\/b><\/p>\n

My dad walked me down the aisle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?<\/b><\/p>\n

We went to Aruba right after the wedding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Happily Ever After\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Alison and Rob as they begin their life\u2019s journey together. We are so happy for these high school sweethearts as they celebrate their wedding and that we were able to be a part of your special day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
