Welcome to this month\u2019s installment of the \u201cI Do\u201d Interviews! This month our wedding series features a wonderful couple, Rebecca and Michael, who said their vows on a beautiful summer day in July of last year. They chose to celebrate their reception with us in the Harborview Ballroom with their 350 family members and friends who all shared in their joy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn everything about their one-of-a-kind wedding and the planning process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wedding Date<\/b> – July 2023<\/span><\/p>\n

Event Space –<\/b> We had our ceremony at St. Stephen’s Armenian Church in Watertown, MA and then hosted our reception in the Harborview Ballroom at Danversport.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where are you originally from? <\/b><\/p>\n

We both grew up in Massachusetts.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do for work?<\/b><\/p>\n

Mike is a Manufacturing Engineering Manager and I am a Marketing Specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom?<\/b><\/p>\n

We met through our community, specifically in our local Armenian dance company.<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?<\/b><\/p>\n

We’ve both attended events at Danversport before and the view, food, deck and ballroom checked all our boxes!<\/span><\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?<\/b><\/p>\n

We had approximately 350 of our family and friends at our wedding reception and ceremony.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink catering?<\/b><\/p>\n

The Danversport team helped us pick a signature drink- a watermelon margarita. For dinner, we offered the Seafood Trio and Short Rib. They both were delicious!<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?<\/b><\/p>\n

There were so many magical parts of the day but the first dance may just be our favorite. Cold sparklers and fog made it magical and special.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our first dance song was a beautiful Armenian song with a waltz melody.<\/span><\/p>\n

What style was your dress?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

My dress was a beaded, fitted dress with an overskirt that went on for miles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you have a wedding theme?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

No theme, but we stuck to neutral colors of champagne, gold, ivory & blush.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle?<\/b><\/p>\n

My dad passed away over 10 years ago, so my mom walked me down the aisle.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?<\/b><\/p>\n

We plan to travel to Europe this year!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
