Welcome to this month\u2019s installment of the \u201cI Do\u201d Interview! This month our wedding series features a loving couple, Kristina and Jeffrey, who said their vows on a picture-perfect midsummer day in July at Danversport.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This interview series is meant to give future couples a chance to hear the wonderful details of wedding experiences from those who have recently been there. Our lovely couples have agreed to share their stories so others can learn about everything from their one-of-a-kind wedding, to their incredible partner, at a picture-perfect venue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These high school sweethearts waited nearly fifteen years to celebrate their big day! They had a wonderful ceremony under the picturesque gazebo and reception following in the grand Harborview Ballroom. From the fun and unique entrances of their bridal party to the touching moments, such as saying their vows and first dance, this couple celebrated an amazing day with family and friends.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wedding Date: <\/b>July 10, 2021<\/span><\/p>\n

Wedding Venue<\/b>: Harborview Ballroom and Gazebo<\/span><\/p>\n

Where are you originally from? <\/b>North Reading, Massachusetts<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do for work?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

I’m a research consultant, and my husband, Jeffrey, is an Elementary School P.E. Teacher\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

We are high school sweethearts! We are celebrating almost 15 years together!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Kristina<\/b><\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

We saw almost every venue in the area that could accommodate our guest size and they were all nice, but Danversport and the Harborview Ballroom took our breath away!<\/span><\/p>\n

The gazebo area was picture-perfect for our ceremony, and my husband and I fell in love with the outdoor cocktail hour space. The wrap-around deck with the bars on each side was something we had never seen anywhere else. We wanted to have the ocean nearby without trekking too far and this was the perfect spot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond that, it was critical that we had a big dance floor because we knew it would be full and this room accommodated us perfectly. When we met Lauren and the rest of the Danversport staff, it really sealed the deal. This team is so professional, experienced, and committed to doing whatever they can to make your day what you want and I could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else!<\/span><\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance roughly? <\/b>We had approximately 200 guests.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink catering?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

We had the best cocktail hour and are still getting so many compliments about the food!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our signature drinks were Tito’s Soda and an extra dirty martini. For passed appetizers, we had the stuffed mushrooms, scallops, and swiss crostinis, bacon wrapped scallops, and some custom options that included mini quesadillas and mac and cheese bites!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving or special part of the wedding for you?<\/b><\/p>\n

It is so hard for me to choose! I have a few favorites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First, our brothers co-officiated our wedding and it made an already special ceremony that much more meaningful. They were incredible!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Second, our bridal party brought the house down with their reception entrances! Each pair came up with creatively choreographed entrances that really set the tone for the whole night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond that, our first dance was something I’ll never forget. It really was magical listening to a song we loved since we were teenagers and having it play on our wedding day. A moment we’d pictured for years was finally a reality and it was so so special.<\/span><\/p>\n

What type of style was your dress?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

My dress was form-fitting and was sort of a hybrid mermaid\/trumpet style gown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance? <\/b>‘Everything’ by Michael Buble<\/span><\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle? <\/b>My dad walked me down the aisle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

We just spent 10 days in Jamaica for our honeymoon!<\/span><\/p>\n
