This month our \u201cI Do\u201d series features Amanda and Will, who said their vows on a picture-perfect winter day with a light coating of snow on the ground. The couple used our Lighthouse Point event space which is surrounded by water on three sides, creating a picture-perfect backdrop everywhere you look.<\/span><\/p>\n

This bridal interview series is meant to give future brides a chance to hear the wonderful experiences from those who have recently been there, especially those who have recently opted for micro weddings. Our beautiful brides have agreed to share their stories so others can hear about everything from their one-of-a-kind wedding, to their perfect partner, at a picture-perfect venue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Amanda<\/p>\n

When was your wedding?<\/b> \u00a0 February 20, 2021<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Where are you originally from? <\/b>We are both from the North Shore of Massachusetts, specifically Lynn, MA.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do for work? <\/b>I am a second grade teacher in Lynn, Massachusetts and Will is a self-employed General Contractor. <\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom? <\/b>Will was best friends with my older sister first, then we became roommates later in life. It was there that we became great friends.. and now.. we are happily married!<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our original venue closed due to the pandemic. We had postponed our original wedding date and it was cancelled yet again so we decided we didn’t want to wait anymore. We were searching for places that were hosting micro weddings but felt like we had hit a dead end.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was asking myself where have I been to weddings that I loved and the answer was Danversport! So on a whim, I gave them a call to see if they were hosting micro weddings and the staff was incredibly nice right away. They were accommodating, affordable, and beautiful. The whole package wrapped into one!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance roughly?<\/b><\/p>\n

We had 10 guests to accommodate state requirements during the coronavirus. It was the right amount for what we wanted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink catering?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We offered a Charcuterie Display to start with, a choice of Filet Mignon, Seafood Trio, or Walnut Crusted Chicken for the main meal, and Marble Cake & Cannoli Bar for dessert.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving or special part of the wedding for you?<\/b><\/p>\n

Right after we said “I DO,\u201d we went outside for photos and a soft wind blew the snow off the top of the building for a magical scenery by the water. We used <\/span>Gaby Benoit from <\/span>Benoit & McCarthy Photography<\/span><\/a> and the photos look amazing!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What type of style was your dress? <\/b>My dress was a fit and flare.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance? <\/b>We danced to Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle? <\/b>My Father walked me down the aisle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Originally, in 2020, we had a trip to Italy planned. However, travel is still not permitted there so our honeymoon is on a bit of a standstill. We will get there eventually! \"Amanda<\/span><\/p>\n

Happily Ever After<\/b><\/p>\n

In this year of pandemic craziness and sadness, Amanda and Will got their \u201chappily ever after\u201d in the form of a micro wedding at Danversport, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Congratulations Amanda & Will and we wish you years of happiness ahead!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
