Welcome to the \u201cI Do\u201d Interviews! This month our series on the <\/span>Brides of Danversport<\/span><\/i> features Allison and Andrew Cardello who tied the knot at Danversport this past September in the Terrace Ballroom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This interview series is meant to give future brides a chance to hear the wonderful details of bridal experiences from those who have recently been there. Our beautiful brides have agreed to share their stories so others can hear about everything from their one-of-a-kind wedding, to their incredible partner, at a picture-perfect venue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WHERE ARE YOU ORIGINALLY FROM?<\/b> \u00a0<\/b>Katonah, NY<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK?<\/b> I am a Client Services Manager for a hospitality marketing agency in Portsmouth, NH called Hawthorn Creative<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR PARTNER? <\/b>A coworker (soon to become best friend) found out I was single and said that she had the “perfect” guy for me. Turns out, she was right! We’ve been inseparable ever since.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE DANVERSPORT AND THE BALLROOM SPECIFICALLY?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our ceremony 2 weeks before our Danversport event was DIY. We held the ceremony in the backyard of my family home where I grew up, followed by a small reception in the community clubhouse. I had always dreamed of getting married there, but obviously it took a lot of management and coordination from start to finish as I was planning everything myself. Since the place where I had always dreamed of getting married wouldn’t hold very many people, that first event was just for our closest family and friends. However, we still wanted to celebrate with the rest of our loved ones! That’s where Danversport came in. Danversport’s full-service package really took the pressure off of me. I knew that I didn’t have anything to worry about, you all had it covered! Plus, the location (in addition to being beautiful) was very convenient for the majority of our guests who were joining us from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW MANY GUESTS WERE IN ATTENDANCE ROUGHLY?<\/b> 125 including a few kiddos.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Bride<\/b><\/p>\n

WHAT MENU DID YOU CHOOSE FOR CATERING? <\/b>The ability to provide raw bar to our guests was another huge selling point for us. We all take our seafood very seriously. We had a HUGE raw bar as well as cheese, a Moscow mule bar, open premium bar, prime rib, walnut chicken, and vanilla and chocolate marble cake.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WAS THE MOST MAGICAL MOMENT OF THE WEDDING FOR YOU? <\/b>The food! Everything was super delicious. The sunset was pretty amazing too! We also have some truly amazing wedding pictures to commemorate the day. <\/span>Kristen Phelps Photography<\/span><\/a> was superb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST DANCE SONG CHOICE? <\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran<\/span><\/p>\n

WHO WALKED YOU DOWN THE AISLE? <\/b>My dad walked me down the aisle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WERE YOUR PLANS FOR A HONEYMOON? <\/b>\u00a0We went to Greece! It was fantastic. I wish I was still there!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0HAPPILY EVER AFTER<\/b><\/p>\n

Allison and Andrew had their simply perfect and perfectly simple wedding surrounded by friends and family. We were so happy to be a part of this special couple\u2019s big day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
