Married: July 20th, 2019<\/h3>\n

Where are you originally from?<\/h3>\n

I am originally from Middleton MA, but lived in Arizona for ten years in my twenties (from 2002-2012) before moving back to settle down.<\/p>\n

What do you do for work?<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m an Integrated Public Preschool Teacher in Gloucester<\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom?<\/h3>\n

We met at Long Beach amongst mutual friends. Our mutual friend Nick told me that Paul wanted my phone number and he told Paul that I wanted his. We started texting and went on two dates in one day for both lunch and dinner. We have hung out everyday since.<\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?<\/h3>\n

No venue in the area can beat Danversport\u2019s location on the water, beautiful d\u00e9cor, delicious food and beyond accommodating staff. Danversport knows how to do events seamlessly and make it so simple for all involved. I chose to get married at Danversport and have the reception in the Garden Terrace Room not only because it is amazing but also because both my parents and my sister have been married there as well and we all had our receptions in the Garden Terrace Room. My parents (Phil and Linda Post) were one of the first people married there on August 22, 1971. They didn\u2019t even have the landscaping completed yet and the Garden Terrace room was called the Mates room. My sister and her husband (Amy Post and Michael Fringuelli) were married there on July 9th 2016.<\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance, roughly?<\/h3>\n

We had the perfect number of 130 attendees at our wedding. Not too large and not too small. It made a more intimate and personal feel.<\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink\/catering?<\/h3>\n

For food we started out with some passed hors d\u2019oeuvres and international cheese and vegetable crudit\u00e9 arrangement stationed hors d\u2019oeuvres. We also had an open bar for cocktail hour with a sangria station. Dinner started with fresh fruit and berries with mousse and a strawberry salad with poppy seed dressing. The entr\u00e9e options included savory chicken piccata in a wine sauce on top of fried eggplant or slow roasted prime rib of beef. Wine was poured at the tables during dinner as well. For dessert, we had a beautiful vanilla wedding cake from Cakes for Occasions and a huge swan cream puff. The swan cream puff was a definite crowd pleaser. They were a beautiful work of art and amazingly delicious. People posted videos and pictures of this dessert all over their social media accounts.<\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving, a special part of the wedding for you?<\/h3>\n

Even though we got married on the hottest most humid day of the year it was still incredible. It was one degree away from record setting temperature and was declared a heat advisory and warning of dangerous temperatures. Our officiant Reverend T.S. Deacon Economos did a great job of hurrying along in the heat and still making it special and funny. He included my fianc\u00e9\u2019s four year old son in the ceremony as we gave him a bracelet to make him feel loved and included.\u00a0 The Danversport staff and my amazing photographer Barbara Lynch and her partner Tom were very attentive making sure we were hydrated and took breaks inside after the ceremony and during pictures.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Did you have a wedding theme or wedding coordinator?<\/h3>\n

I did not have a specific theme for my wedding or a coordinator. However, the Danversport staff were so helpful I didn\u2019t need to hire a coordinator. I chose blush and blue for my colors with gold accents. My flower choices were simple but very elegantly done by Konstantinas in Middleton. We had white calla lilies, blush and cream mondial and garden roses, white gardenias, aspidistra leaves and bear grass loops.<\/p>\n

We did some DIY projects ourselves, which made for a nice touch and cut some cost too. We painted a large wooden monogram white and gold and Danversport placed it on an easel with a cloth behind it at our place card table. We also glued cylinder vases on top of clear glass candle holders for our centerpieces and painted a white Mr. and Mrs. head table sign. We bought uplights from Amazon and put them behind the head table for a blue accent wall. All of this made the photos so stunning.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What type of style was your wedding dress?<\/h3>\n

I bought my wedding dress at Christina\u2019s in Andover.\u00a0 My gown was a Watters Sheridan. It had a strapless beaded and lace top and a tulle bottom.\u00a0 It was a zipper back with beautiful rhinestones buttons. My seamstress out of Gloucester, Jen Anderson, added more rhinestone buttons for the bustle.\u00a0 It was absolutely gorgeous and the fit was perfect. I purchased a fingertip length 2 tier veil with horsehair trim from Over the Rainbow in Beverly (they also did the best calligraphy on my place cards).\u00a0 It went perfectly with the dress. My hair was done by Krissy Fladger and makeup by Jessie Bissett at Tre Noi Salon in Wakefield. They made me feel so pretty! Our rings were designed at Barmakian in Boston. They treat you like family there.<\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance?<\/h3>\n

Our first dance song was Your Song by Elton John sung by Ellie Goulding. It was a wonderful song choice. Our dj (David Buono) from Party Excitement did an awesome job with all of the entertainment that night from the classy waiting for the ceremony music down to the last fun dance of the night.<\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle?<\/h3>\n

My father walked me down the aisle to the song \u201cI Get to Love You\u201d by Ruelle.<\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?<\/h3>\n

Since we have family friends visiting for the week of our wedding we are choosing to go a week after our wedding. We are going to Bermuda and staying at the Fairmont South Hampton and the Grotto Beach Bay Resort. We plan to get a couples massage in the grotto cave, snorkel, go horse back riding on the beach and rent jet skis to go to secluded beaches with beautiful rock structures. We can\u2019t wait to see the famous pink sand beaches there.<\/p>\n

Did you do anything particularly traditional at your wedding to coincide with your mother and sisters’ weddings?<\/h3>\n

All the girls in our family have charm bracelet from the time they are little. For each milestone or big event in our lives, family members bought charms to add as memories to the bracelets. We each have worn our charm bracelets to our weddings. I was the last of the girls to get married on this side of the family as I was the baby.\u00a0 At our wedding we also played my parents and sisters wedding songs in order to reminisce in the room where they were married as well.<\/p>\n

Happily Every After<\/h2>\n

What a beautiful wedding! Heather completed her family’s longstanding tradition of getting married at Danversport, as she’s the youngest in her family. Maybe her son or daughter will get married here one day! We could not feel more honored. Heather & Paul’s wedding was a beautiful day, and the couple was so delightful to work with.
