Where are you originally from?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>I am originally from Gloucester, MA<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do for work?<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>I work in the Life Insurance Industry in Concord, MA.<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you meet your bride or groom?
\n<\/strong><\/span>I met Shane through a close friend from high school. They both attended and played sports at Nichols College and were part of the same circle of friends. I knew Shane was special after our first date, and I fell in love with him so quickly. One could say, it was love at first sight.<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you choose Danversport, and this venue\/room specifically?
\n<\/strong> I was completely blown away when I first opened the front doors of the Danversport as I looked into the Ballroom after the renovation. I loved how fresh, white and clean it looked, I fell in love instantly. Another huge draw was working with the events staff and how incredibly reliable and professional they are. They just made everything so easy. If I could give another bride advice it would be to work with this team, they were on point from the moment I met them to the last minute of my wedding.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many guests did you have in attendance, roughly?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\"\"<\/span>I invited around 250 guests and my final count was 237.<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you offer for food\/drink\/catering?<\/strong>We offered a choice of the Statler chicken or prime rib for dinner, and served stationary and passed appetizers during cocktail hour. We decided last minute to go with the full open bar during the cocktail hour and reception, which I am so happy we did! Guest loved the sangria station during the cocktail hour, the table wine during dinner, and the cordial station towards the end of the night. As for dessert, we offered our wedding cake accompanied by the ice cream bon bons- which were a huge hit! The food was spectacular- I still have guests talking about the piece of prime rib they had!<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most magical, moving, or special part of the wedding for you?
\n<\/strong>I had two very magical moments at my wedding. 1. The Processional – Walking down the aisle, arm in arm with my amazing and loving Dad, as the song In My Life was being sung and played on the guitar by John Jerome. That song is very special to me because it was my parent’s wedding song. \u00a02. Recessional. My husband and I walked out holding our two-year-old son Julian\u2019s hands, as the song All You Need Is Love was sung and played on the guitar by John Jerome. I don\u2019t think there is a better feeling in the world than that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you have a wedding theme or wedding coordinator?
\n<\/strong>I didn\u2019t have a particular theme in mind, but I wanted a very romantic and elegant feel with soft gold and blush hues. \u00a0My inspiration was a perfect combination of something very classic, timeless and beautiful\u2026. With all GOLD everything of course. My floral arrangements were created by Celia’s Flower Studio and were out of this world. My bouquet, as seen in the amazing pictures by Alissa Curcuru Photography, was everything I wanted and more. There were breathtaking elements of eucalyptus, lemon leaf, gray brunia berry, dusty miller, white roses, white lisianthus, and white ranunculus. I had a mix of tablescapes of gold pipe risers, gold compote vases complemented with beautiful arrangements. I also had a lot of candlelight and greenery throughout to enhance the romantic feel. There was no need for a wedding planner with the amount of the love and support I had from my rockstar Mom, Auntie Deb, my MOH Jackie, and my amazing bridesmaids. They were the “bride dream team.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What type of style was your wedding dress?
\n<\/strong> My dress, let\u2019s talk about my dress. I couldn\u2019t have dreamed of wearing a more perfect dress on my wedding day. It was an elegant and timeless fitted lace gown with a high neckline and illusion back designed by Martina Liana which I purchased at Vows in Watertown. There was beautiful beading and sparkle throughout. I wore the matching cathedral length veil, which was the final touch that just completed my dream look.<\/span><\/p>\n

I must mention how incredible my hair and makeup were. It takes true talent to know your client, understand their vision, and be a part mastering their dream look. My makeup artist Diane Arroyo, from the Deborah Coull Salon, knocked it out of the park. I felt so elegant and beautiful, but not over the top. \u00a0My hairstylist, Ashley Amero, from The Avenue Beauty Bar gave me an elegant high pony-tail, which was so fun and classic at the same time. They were the \u201cbride dream\u201d team.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the song you danced to for your first dance?<\/strong>
\nOur song was \u201cInto the Mystic\u201d by Van Morrison. It was one of our favorites that we listened to frequently throughout our relationship. <\/span><\/p>\n

Who walked you down the aisle?<\/strong> My Dad \ud83d\ude0a<\/span><\/p>\n

What are\/were your plans for your honeymoon?
\n<\/strong> We are leaving for our honeymoon in mid-April heading to Key West for a \u201cFlorida Keys Road Trip.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Picture Perfect<\/h2>\n

We’ve seen many weddings at Danversport, and we can say Emily’s was beyond picture perfect. She was so pleased with her dress, her venue, her hair & makeup stylist, and her guests in attendance. Her natural beauty shines through her photography, and the wedding photos are absolutely breathtaking!<\/span><\/p>\n

Emily’s excitement was very clear when we asked her about her wedding at Danversport Yacht Club. We could tell how ecstatic she was when telling us about finding her dream dress. She felt that she had achieved her dream look, and her wedding was beautiful inside and out. Emily was so thankful for her family as they were helpful and supportive throughout her experience in tying the knot. Congratulations to Emily, family and loved ones!<\/span><\/p>\n
