Easily Forgotten Things on your Wedding Day – Wedding Reminders

wedding reminder ideas

With all the buzz that goes on as your wedding day nears, it can be easy to become lost and forget things. Never fear, we’re here with a list of wedding reminders. So you can get back on track and stop worrying… for the most part. Let’s take a look:

  • Directions – Nowadays, it’s easy to assume that everyone has a GPS or a smartphone with a GPS app to guide them from point A to point B. However, it’s good practice to provide directions to the destination, starting with major highways or roads, taking into account where your guests live. For the modern couple, you can include on your wedding website a link to Google Maps. Finally, there should also be on-site signs directing guests to the church or other location for the ceremony, as well as directions to the reception, including pertinent times, such as cocktail hour and dinner.
  • Plan for kids – No, not like that. At least not yet. We’re talking about your guests’ children. While it may be adorable seeing kids all dressed up on your big day, nothing can spoil the splendor quite like disruptive behavior, especially during the wedding ceremony. For this reason, you can have the usher give coloring books to the kids at the ceremony to keep them busy. At the reception, seat children with their parents so they can keep an eye on them during dinner. Believe it or not, it’s not entirely uncommon to allow guests to bring their children, but hire a babysitter or two to keep them occupied in a separate room with coloring books, snacks, and a few good movies, so parents can relax and enjoy their time at your wedding.
  • Wedding favors – While wedding favors aren’t required, it’s a nice gesture to your guests, thanking them for taking time out of their busy lives to witness you and yours consecrate your love for each other.
