Many couples spend months, even years, planning their weddings, between finding the right dress, researching churches and/or venues, looking at photographers, bands, DJs, taste-testing food and drinks, as well as many other considerations. Is there an end to this list?! Then, of course, you have to pay for it all… It’s almost amazing that the bride and groom, as well as their respective parties, make it to their big day and are all smiles. But that’s the magic of a wedding – going through the arduous, seemingly never-ending planning phase, and coming out on top, ready to openly declare your love for each other surrounded by friends and family. Though it is very stressful, there are some tips to making sure the day of your wedding goes swimmingly. Let’s take a look:
- Eat breakfast – This is valuable advice for not only your wedding day, but for everyday. When you eat breakfast, you’re proactively preparing your body and mind to take on the day. You should stick to a breakfast that is high in protein and complex carbs, which take time to digest and give you a steady flow of energy, unlike a breakfast that’s high in sugar and is of little-no nutritional value.
- Behavior – This piece of advice is directed more toward the groom and his party. Be sure your groomsmen act appropriately so as to not embarrass themselves, you and, most importantly, the lovely bride. It’s common knowledge the fact that guys can take it a little too far at receptions, so try to keep them in line. This, of course, doesn’t mean they can’t have fun.
- Survival kit – This is a must-have for all brides. Make sure either you or one of your bridesmaids packs a wedding day survival kit. Be prepared for the unexpected with a first aid kit, a Tide-to-go pen and, dare I say it, tampons.
While planning your wedding takes time, when the big day comes, it’s not over yet. There’s still some prep work to be done, but it’s more for yourself and your spouse-to-be. Take care of yourselves so you’re ready to dance the night away once the reception comes.
